Big Texas Fix

The DIY Channel

If you are somewhat addicted to HGTV, you probably know about the DIY Network.  A few changes have been happening over there and the scheduled DIY Network takeover by Chip & Joanna Gaines, whose original launch was scheduled for October, has been pushed back a bit due to the restrictions in filming due to Covid.  But, worry not, as far as we've heard, it is still in the works and promises to be outstanding.

A new kid on the block, Big Texas Fix, has been setting the stage for them and airing on the DIY Network.   Ashley and Michael Cordray, who own Save 1900, a real estate and renovation company on Galveston Island, specialize in restoring homes from the late 19th and early 20th centuries with the goal of preserving the island's history and architectural styles.

This is not just another 'fixit and sell' it show. We love their attention and respect to the details of the historical important features of each project. They do a beautiful job and the show is fun, engaging and entertaining.  There are 9 episodes this season with Season 2 in the works.

If you like old home restoration and renovations, you will like this show.  A lot.
