July 25- July 30, 2020
Each summer since 2007, the St. George’s School Ice Rink has been transformed into an upscale shopping venue during The Newport Show. It’s a weekend event that has become a high point for the social season and a not-to-be-missed opportunity for fine art and fashion aficionados.
This year is a little different. The Management and beneficiaries of The Newport Show, the Newport Historical Society and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County, have decided, with great reluctance, that they will not hold the 2020 Show in person this coming July.
Working with John Smiraldo of Incollect and Antiques & Fine Art Magazine The Newport Show will have an online platform for our dealers and beneficiaries and we are looking forward to a different, but still beautiful and entertaining event.

Whether a building dates to 1760 or 1960, annual inspections are an essential tool in the preservation toolkit. Regular inspections can help property owners identify repairs and routine maintenance projects to ensure the long-term preservation of their old homes. Using examples from Historic New England’s Preservation Easement Program, this online lecture delves into what to look for when inspecting the interior and exterior of your old home. Examples focus on a variety of materials, architectural styles, and building sizes, as well as providing information about caring for significant landscape features and outbuildings. Audience members will come away with a framework for conducting annual inspections and an understanding of how to prioritize common preservation repairs.
