Art & Antique Repair Studio

Description

Sara has studied Painting and Sculpture at Syracuse University; painting at Rhode Island School of Design; tile and mold-making at Parsons School Of Design; ceramics and fiber at Parsons’ Ivory Coast/Africa program; and chinioserie & urushi in Tokyo, Nara and Kyoto, Japan. After working for many years as a restorer, conservator and consultant with several prestigious metropolitan firms, Sara launched her own company to focus on rare international art and furnishings with one-of-a-kind restoration and conservation challenges.

Sara’s expertise continues to encompass antiquities from Robert Adam, Hepplewhite and Regency to an extensive range of rare Chinese and Japanese imagery. Her insistence on using only traditional and reversible materials has made her a favorite of museums, galleries, antique dealers, interior decorators and private collectors.
