Jennifer Lawrence Gets Married in Haunted Newport Castle

Besides being one of Newport, RI’s notoriously famous haunted houses, this one also has an awesome restoration story. Belcourt Castle, or now known as just ‘Belcourt’, is a stunning historic ‘cottage’ designed by famed gilded age architect, Richard Morris Hunt. It is no wonder that Jennifer Lawrence chose it for the location for her wedding! However, there are many spooky happenings here, many of which are attributed to the collection of historical art and artifacts one of the owners collected from around the world.  It is said that its present owner has had the castle cleansed of the spirits, but they’ve never confirmed that. As a matter of fact, they have never even lived there.

Who owns this house? The founder of Alex & Ani Jewelry.
