Custom & Artisan Fabrics & Wallpapers- Studio Four NYC
d e c o r a t i n g
When textile creatives Stacy Waggoner and Kate Reynolds met when they both worked at the same fabric company in New York City, they discovered that not only did they both have similar backgrounds in the industry and art history, but their design aesthetics totally jived.
“We represent a variety of fabrics and wallpaper lines from around the world,” they said. “Our fabrics range from Batiks printed in Bali to the handwoven Studio Four Textiles collection we create here in our NYC showroom. We have wallpapers from many Brooklyn artists and others from Barcelona, Australia, and the UK. We work very closely with our represented lines to give them feedback on what our design clients appreciate and what is missing in the market. Most of the rugs we design for clients are customized for individual projects and it is one of the most exciting parts of what we do here day to day. Earlier this week we met with a client to design and custom color a fabulous Nepalese hand knotted rug- in a few weeks the strike off will arrive and that is the beginning of creating a new textile masterpiece.”
Studio Four NYC is a wonderful source for connecting textile artists to the interior design market. They work with mills all around the world to translate clients ideas into actual rugs, fabrics and wallpapers for their unique project needs. Not only do they provide trade courtesies, but they are open to the every person who wants to decorate their own home without having to go through a designer to purchase design quality materials, wallpaper, pillows and textiles.
